Ms. Cole is the first harpist ever to be awarded the Virginia Parker Prize from Canada Council for the Arts. She is winner of Astral Artists National Auditions, The Juilliard School Robert Wayne Barlow Prize in Harp, the Canada Council J.B.C. Watkins Award, and is the only harpist to ever receive The Sylva Gelber Music Foundation Award. She has twice received second prize at L’Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal Standard Life Competition.
Ms. Cole has been a featured artist at the Eleventh World Harp Congress in Vancouver, B.C., the Saratoga Harp Colony in Saratoga, New York, the Young Artist’s Harp Seminar in Georgia, The National Arts Club in New York City, and the American Harp Society in Toronto, among others.
She has appeared as concerto soloist with the Las Cruces Symphony, the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra, the Northumberland Symphony Orchestra, Symphony by the Bay, the Weill Cornell Music and Medicine Orchestra, and the Columbia University Irving Medical Center Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Cole was the harpist at the famed Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City from 2013-2017, performing weekly in the Waldorf's Peacock Alley and performed approximately 400 shows for the Off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks. Currently, she can be heard playing frequently at the St. Regis High Tea.
Ms. Cole received a Master’s of Music degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Nancy Allen, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto under the tutelage of Judy Loman.
She is currently a fourth year medical student at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and continues to perform avidly throughout New York.
